Workshop
This workshop will provide a safe environment to explore
the challenging dilemmas which some clients may bring to the
therapeutic relationship in a safe and creative environment.
During the day participants will look at the different ways the
'unbearable' appears in the consulting room. This will include
physical as well as emotional aspects of the work. The idea of
'naming the unbearable' in the therapeutic relationship will guide
participants when revisiting the theoretical concepts of the frame,
containment and boundaries.
Participants are asked to read any fairy story of their choice
prior to the workshop and to bring clinical examples from their own
experience for discussion.
Comments from a previous workshop:
- "Fantastic workshop, very contained and supportive,
enthusiastic and encouraging"
- "Intellectually stimulating but also moving and very
warm"
- "After a lot of hesitation to give up my Saturday to come
to this workshop, I found the day honest, encouraging, boundaried,
creative yet with lots of humour
All participants completing the workshop will receive a
Certificate of Attendance for Continuing Professional Development
purposes.
