Venue: 23 Magdalen Street, London SE1 2EN

A course that runs over two, ten week terms and requires
attendance at 20 weekly seminars and 20 weekly supervision
sessions.
This course takes place on Tuesday mornings, 9.45am -
12.45pm.
Working with adolescents can be demanding, challenging and
confusing. This course aims to equip participants with a
theoretical model of understanding the adolescent psyche.
Adolescence is a specific developmental phase that we go through
and needs its own theoretical model, scaling down a model of
working with adults is not enough. Adolescents have particular
needs and issues which will be considered in detail on this
course.
Seminars fous on the specific requirements of working with
adolescents within a psychodynamic model. Theory is taught from a
psychodynamic perspective including Freudian, Jungian and
attachment theories.
There is clinical case presentation for 1½ hours per week
focusing on the client work of course participants.
