In addition to the above modules, for the WPF Therapy
Qualification in Group-Analytic Psychotherapy (and UKCP
registration) trainees must also complete the following:
Experiential Group attendance for 3
years. Trainees are expected to have the experience of
being in a group during their training. The experiential group
provides a different group experience to therapy, and is an
opportunity to explore the theory they are learning in the closed
setting of a group of peers.
Personal Therapy must be attended throughout
the training. Trainees must complete a minimum of one year
in their personal therapy group with a WPF Therapy approved
therapist before they can begin the first training
group.
You will need to have completed a minimum of one year
in personal therapy before beginning the programme. This may be
individual or group. However, you will need to complete one year in
a psychotherapy group with a WPF Therapy approved
therapist before starting your first training group, and a
total of 4 years in group psychotherapy before you will be eligible
for UKCP registration.
Supervision will take place at the supervisor's consulting
room and the fee is payable directly to the supervisor. The cost of
supervision is not included in the course fee. Seminars will take
place at WPF Therapy. The fee payable to WPF Therapy is based on
the number of modules undertaken by the trainee.
