Introduction to Counselling and Psychotherapy (Certificate in Counselling Skills)
Programme Manager: Lynsey Hotchkies
Venue: 23 Magdalen Street, London SE1 2EN
Fee: See the Fees section for full details
These courses are for people who are interested in
training in counselling and psychodynamic psychotherapy, who
already use counselling skills in the course of their work, either
paid or voluntary, or who wish to acquire these skills to develop
their work potential. The learning acquired will enable people to
practise counselling skills in a variety of settings.
The certificate course provides a useful
qualification in itself. It offers an entry route to training as a
psychodynamic psychotherapist on the Postgraduate Diploma / MA in
Psychodynamic Theory and Practice (subject to suitability).
Counselling skills training is a pre-requisite for many other
counselling and psychotherapy training courses.
The Certificate Course has
October, August and
January intakes.

Equal Opportunities Monitoring Form

practise to embark on their studies in September or

from December until the start of the next academic year.

timetable for this route includes three weekend modules.
