What does it cost?
WPF Therapy is a charity and relies on client fees for its
income. To make therapy affordable for everyone, regardless of
ability to pay, we operate a sliding scale of fees. This means that
people on higher incomes are asked to pay higher but realistic fees
so that we can cover the costs of our clinical work with
people on low incomes.

Fees for new clients are revised annually with effect from
1st October.
Fees
Initial Consultation
To register for an Initial Consultation there is a
non-refundable charge of £25.
The fee for an Initial Consultation is based on
two rates depending on income. If your income is less than
£45K the fee will be £60 and if your income is more than £45K the
fee will be £90. For full time students or those in
receipt of Job Seekers Allowance the Initial Consultation fee
will be £45 (clients will need to bring proof of this to the
consultation).
Long Term Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
The fee for long term therapy is calculated according
to income bands with the minimum fee being £30 per session
and the maximum fee being £60 per session.
Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT)
The fee for DIT is calculated according to income
bands with the minimum fee being £30 per
session and the maximum fee being £60 per
session.
Short Term Psychodynamic Psychotherapy or Cognitive
Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
The fee for short term psychodynamic psychotherapy or
CBT is calculated according to income bands with the
minimum fee being £30 per session and the maximum
fee being £60 per session.
Group Therapy
The fee for group therapy is calculated according to income
bands with the minimum fee being £30 per session and the
maximum fee being £60 per session.
Low Cost Clinic
For full time students and those in receipt of Job Seekers
Allowance the Initial Consultation fee is £45. The
fee for therapy (long term, DIT, short term, CBT or
Group) is £20 but this is only available at set times
- 8am, 9am and 10am Mon-Fri and all day Saturday.
Clients will need to bring proof of status to the
consulation.
Please note that you will be expected to pay for missed or
cancelled sessions, except for sessions cancelled by your
therapist. This enables us to maintain your regular appointment
time for the duration of your therapy.
