Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
Cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) at WPF Therapy is a short-term
therapy - between 6-12 weekly sessions - for those experiencing
mild to moderate anxiety and depression.
Working together with a CBT therapist you will identify patterns
of thinking and belief linked to feelings which may be
contributing to emotional distress and troubling behaviour.
You will be helped to develop new ways of thinking and behaving
which can have a positive effect on your mood and ability to cope
with life's challenges.
CBT has been found to be helpful for issues such as:
- anxiety
- depression
- exams - studying
- health anxiety
- lack of assertiveness
- panic attacks
- phobias
- procrastination
- stress
- work issues - e.g. role change, new job, redundancy,
retirement, promotion
Fee structure
Fees are calculated on a sliding scale depending on income.
There is a one-off non-refundable registration charge of £25 and an
initial in-depth consultation is £60 if your income is less than
£45K and £90 if your income is more than £45K.
The fee for CBT is calculated according to income bands with a
minimum fee of £30 and a maximum of £60.
You will be expected to pay for missed or cancelled sessions,
except for those cancelled by the therapist.
