Why should I join one of WPF Therapy’s Get Moving Week activities
Support WPF Therapy and the excellent work that so many clients have been able to benefit from.
You can make a difference to our campaign by just attending for instance the walk. The more people attend the activities the more impact the campaign will have.
You do not need to donate or pay any money, although WPF Therapy would of course not refuse any donations.
Just come along to the walk, listen to the talk, find the moles or come to Borough Market.
Show your support for WPF Therapy as a charity that makes a difference to the people in your local community and in our 28 other WPF Therapy National Network Centres nationwide that in turn support one of the largest number of clients outside the NHS.
If you are an employer yourself you would be seen to support a large number of your staff and customers (and with mental health statistics (generated by the Government’s NICE research) showing that ‘1 out of 4 or 5 people are very likely to experience mental health problems at some point in their life’ one can quickly imagine how many staff/customers/friends may encounter the need for therapy at any given time).
What WPF Therapy does at a glance
WPF Therapy sees approximately 500 clients per week in our clinic and is one of the largest not-for-profit providers of therapy such as CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy), Short Term therapy, Open Ended Therapy and Group Therapy. We also have a college where we run professional training courses to MA level for over 350 students per year to become either psychotherapists and counsellors or to attend introductory courses and further CPD. WPF Therapy has 28 affiliated centres nationwide that provide training and therapy to the well know and reputable WPF Therapy standard. Between our centres we provide over 30,000 therapy sessions per annum to treat anxiety, stress, depression to name the main reasons for referral. Individuals can self-refer and the NHS also refers clients to WPF Therapy to relieve their waiting lists but these do not usually come with any funding.
