EAP: Mental Well-being

At any one time, one in three people of work age in the UK is likely to be experiencing some kind of mental distress or mental health problem*. WPF Therapy offers easy access to support for staff and organisations, with fast track access to assessments and therapy.

"I now see things in a positive light and am coping better at work."

"I managed to stay in full time employment and resolved conflict at work to my advantage. As a result, I got promoted to a new position with a new firm and I am now very happy."

"In the future, my ability to control my anger will be better for my colleagues and my future employment."

We offer a range of short-term and long-term talking therapies. Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and short-term psychodynamic psychotherapy are found to be particularly useful in employment situations as the treatment plan consists of 6-12 once weekly sessions. CBT aims to help you to change the way you think, feel and behave. It is used as a treatment for a variety of psychological problems, for those experiencing mild to moderate anxiety and depression and some physical problems.

CBT has been found to be helpful for issues such as:

  • Work issues - redundancy, retirement or promotion
  • Stress, Anxiety, Depression
  • Health Anxiety
  • Lack of assertiveness
  • Exams - studying
  • Panic attacks
  • Phobias
  • Procrastination
  • Relationships
