Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) at WPF Therapy is a short-term therapy, between 6-12 once-weekly sessions, for those experiencing mild to moderate anxiety and depression.
Working together with a CBT practitioner the client will identify thinking patterns which may be contributing to emotional distress and troubling behaviour.
The client is helped to develop new ways of thinking which can have a positive effect on mood and behaviour. It is an outcome focussed therapy.
CBT has been found to be helpful for issues such as:
work issues - e.g. role change, new job, redundancy, retirement, promotion
stress
anxiety
depression
health anxiety
lack of assertiveness
exams – studying
panic attacks
phobias
procrastination
Contracts to support a work force of any size can be arranged.
