Joan Baxter, C.Psychol., AFBPsS. is a chartered educational psychologist. She has undertaken additional training and development over the years, including a course in psychoanalytic consultation to organisations at the Tavistock Centre. Joan has managed a range of services for vulnerable young people, including a county’s educational psychology service, pupil referral units and behaviour support teams. She has also worked in senior management roles in the voluntary sector. She was Head of Service Delivery at the Place2Be during a key phase in the charity’s development and she was a Trustee and ultimately Vice Chair of Trustees of YoungMinds for six years. Joan is a visiting lecturer at University College London where she contributes to the doctorate
in educational and child psychology. She recently co-authored ‘Measures of Children’s Mental Health and Psychological Well-being’ published by GL Assessment.
In her previous role, Joan was a senior performance specialist with the Audit Commission, and was the national lead for children with special educational needs and disabilities. She also held regional responsibility for equalities, user focus and human rights. Her work included reviews of performance across the public sector – health, the police, the probation service and local government. She also undertook corporate assessments and inspections of local authorities and joint area reviews of children’s services, working alongside Ofsted and the Healthcare Commission. Her work has involved her in national studies and in the development of web-based tools to support service improvement and value for money.
Christine Driver, Director of Training & Clinical Services
Christine Driver MA, PGCE, is a qualified counsellor, psychoanalytic psychotherapist (FPC) and analytical psychologist (SAP). She has worked as a counsellor, psychotherapist and supervisor in private practice and in agency settings for many years and has been involved in the teaching and training of counsellors, psychotherapists and supervisors at WPF Therapy and elsewhere. She has written a number of articles and books in relation to counselling, psychotherapy and supervision and edited two books; Supervising Psychotherapy (Sage, London, 2002) and Supervision and the Analytic Attitude (Whurr, London 2005).
Lykke Leszczynski, Director of Business & Corporate Services
Lykke Leszczynski, FCIPD, has operated for the last 6 years at Board Level and has over 12 years HR experience in both the not-for-profit and commercial sectors covering education, mental health service provider, employee assistance provider (EAP), logistics/warehousing/distribution. She has a particular interest in Strategic Planning/HR Business Partnering, business development, Organisational Development; Learning, Development and Empowerment; Change Management; Work Processes; Work Force Support & Well-being; equal opportunities.
In 2007/08 Lykke project managed WPF Therapy's relocation project from initial search for and identification of suitable property, through legal negotiations to the actual move in August 2008 including the fit out from shell too.
Born in Copenhagen, Denmark, Lykke lived and worked in Montreux, Switzerland for 10 years, having initially moved there to study languages. In 1989 she moved to London and joined WPF Therapy's HR team in 2000. She is now in a senior role as Director of Business & Corporate Services.
Justyna Sugalska, Director of Finance
Justyna Sugalska, ACCA, BSc (hons), has over ten years experience in accountancy and managing organisations’ finances in both the corporate and not for profit sector since gaining a diploma in accounting in Lithuania. Justyna joined WPF Therapy’s finance department in 2003 and is now additionally studying psychodynamic counselling and organisational dynamics.
